DHF Hosts Dazzling Divas and a Sizzling Star
Teamwork, fun, success and a lot of laughter were all achieved at the first Dancing Horse Dressage Diva Youth Team Competition event June 12th. The bright pink tee shirts could be seen from afar, and the laughter could be heard until late into the night. Waking up at 3:30AM and not getting home until 11:00PM…and it was well worth it.
The Divas, Ellie Hart, Christina Sharkey and Sarah Wheeler all rode solid tests at the Festival of Future Champions. Together their trusty mounts carried the Divas to a Team victory, which was celebrated with pizza, soda, many pictures and excited calls/texts to anxious parents.
Ellie and Panama were relaxed and confident for their rides, enjoying 66% and 67.5% for Intro A and B. Panama seemed to enjoy the pomp and circumstance of the showing atmosphere.
Christina and Finn, having ridden together only 3 times, received a 57.8% and 62.857% in Training 1 and 2. Both Halley and Nike Mendenhall came to cheer on the pair.
Sarah and Riley, their first show off property, rode beautifully together receiving a 71% and 66% in Training 2 and 1, respectively. Riley drew attention with his unique braiding and stellar performance, which made Sarah very proud.
Congratulations to our talented, fun-loving equestrians! All the fun, well most of the fun, captured in Photos.
