DHF’s Regularly Scheduled Events
Pilates Classes: DHF is pleased to offer weekly Pilates classes for our clients. The classes are designed for riders and are held every Wednesday from 5:20 pm to 6:20 pm in the Barn 1 upstairs observation room. Class space is limited to 8 participants walk-in fee is $16 per class. Or you can purchase six classes for $84 ($14 per session). May 30-June 1st: Riding Clinic with Sandy Howard, "S" judge and Olympic team member. Dancing Horse Farm is proud and honored to announce the return of Sandy Howard, USEF "S" judge and 3-time USET member (Olympic & World Championship teams, '78, '80, '82), for this clinic. We are very lucky to have her come to Ohio from California since she has nearly stopped traveling to conduct clinics. Sandy's seminar in November at DHF was a resounding success with every participant making major changes in their riding that lasted long after Sandy left. Auditors and participants alike were treated to a educational lecture on rider biomechanics complete with an evaluation of video clips of top international riders that is being integrated into the USDF L education program this year. Sandy also provided detailed evaluations of the improvements made by clinic participant riders by comparing videos of their rides from the first day to the second day. The entire seminar was a treat for everyone involved and we look forward to the information Sandy will share in the next clinic. Professionals are encouraged to participate so they can pass the valuable info along to their clientele. This clinic is full, but we are still accepting participant registrations for the waiting list. Check the forms page of this Web site for participant and auditor sign-up forms.
July 19-20: DHF Hosts: Dressage Clinic with Joan Bolton, USDF Gold and Silver Medalist, short listed for the Pan American Games and 2000 Olympics, and student of Sandy Howard and Gunter Seidel.
October 18-19, 2008: DHF Hosts: USDF Region 2 Adult Clinic with International competitor, writer and speaker, Jane Savoie organized by the MidOhio Dressage Association. Check out the USDF Web site for registration information for this clinic. Please note: DHF is NOT handling the registration for this clinic, USDF is.
