Lindsay graduated Magna Cum Laude March 2008 from the Equine Business Management/Riding program at Johnson and Wales University. She is considered by the Director of the program, Beth Beukema, to be one of, if not the best graduate their program has ever produced. She was captain of Johnson and Wales’ Intercollegiate Dressage Association team for two years and competed in the IDA at First Level for three years. In 2007, she competed in the IDA Nationals and came in 5th Nationally. During her last trimester of college, Lindsay attended the German Riding School in Warendorf Germany this in a study abroad program. She learned a lot about the German system of riding and training, and spent many hours in the saddle in riding horses of different levels and attended many excellent lectures that provided her with very valuable knowledge about teaching, training and managing horses.

Lindsay is a Graduate B from the United States Pony Club and was member for 11 yrs. Now that the Pony Club has extended its membership age range to include her again, Lindsay is excited to be able to rejoin since she believes that pony club played a major role in her development as a rider and horsewoman. She is also excited that rejoining will give her the opportunity to pursue her HA and finally, the coveted A rating.

In 2007, Lindsay evented her Hanoverian gelding, Orion, at Training level and hopes to move him up to Preliminary this year. The pair ended the 2007 season ranked 5th in the USEA Area 1 Adult Amateur standings at Training Level. Before Lindsay bought Orion, he was schooled to Third Level in dressage and successfully shown through Second. Over the next few years, Lindsay is intends to pursue achieving her USDF bronze medal and becoming a USEA Certified Instructor.
