Profile
Sadly, Jennifer Truett is forced to sell her only remaining competition horse, Lisalotte DHF, because Lisalotte developed a cyst in the navicular bursea of her right front foot that causes occasional lameness. The navicular and coffin joints were injected and her foot was treated with three Tildren treatments with some success. Lisalotte is being sold as a broodmare with the possibility of competing at the lower levels if someone wants to invest in maintenance. Jennifer just lost Lisalotte’s half sister and Jennifer’s 4th/PSG horse, Lydia DHF, to laminitis, now has huge vet bills to pay, and needs to sell Lisalotte quickly to help pay off Lydia’s vet bills.
Lisalotte is exceptionally well bred. She is by Hilda Gurney’s famous Grand Prix stallion Leonidas (Condus/Siegbert) and out of her FEI mare Willa (Werther/Condus). Lisalotte’s full brother, Luminence, is Hilda’s current very successful Grand Prix mount. Jennifer and Lenny bought Lisalotte from Hilda as a suckling foal after she won her Oldenburg/ISR Inspection and was given Premium status with an 8.2 overall score (Conf: 8.0, Movement: 8.3, Overall Imp: 8.2).
As a yearling, Lisalotte earned an 84.200% from General Burton with remarks that she was surprisingly elegant in movement. Lisalotte then went on to win several high score awards undersaddle in Training level with scores in the upper 60’s to 74.8%. She also earned upper 60’s to low 70.5% in First level earning 9’s and a 10 from judges. Lisalotte qualified and competed in the Region 2 GAIG’s in both 2007 and 2008. Her First Level Musical Freestyle to Austin Powers music was always a hit with judges and earned her the 2008 USDF Oldenburg First Level MFS Year End Championship title.
Lisalotte is very stocky for her small size and her barrel takes up Jennifer’s long legs surprisingly well. She is much smaller than her siblings who average 16.1-17 hands presumably because of the heavy duty steroids she was administered as a yearling as part of a life saving procedure after she contracted plural pneumonia from OCD surgery complications. Despite her small size, she will likely produce "normal" 16 hand sized foals.
She has no vices. She trailers, clips, ties, stands for the vet, farrier, bathing, etc perfectly. She can be a little complicated under saddle when pressurized which could stem from long-term pain in her foot, but otherwise has perfect ground manners. She is known to have the "most kissable nose" in the barn and loves attention.
