Jennifer Truett
President, Instructor, Events Manager, Dancing Horse Farm, Inc.
Jennifer Truett is a United States Dressage Federation Bronze Medallist and active rider and competitor in Dressage. She has been riding horses ever since she could safely sit up unsupported as an infant. She has competed horses in many disciplines starting with a childhood of showing Quarter Horses in western, hunt seat, reining, barrels, jumping, trail and showmanship; she also competed in saddleseat, driving, combined training, and hunter/jumper, until she found her heart’s desire in the ideal sport for the anal, obsessive-compulsive, perfectionist…dressage.

In the mid nineties, Jennifer competed at the North American Young Rider’s Championships and has most recently focused on bringing along her own youngsters (Lydia DHF, Lisalotte DHF, and Nachtwind DHF) all of whom she bought as untrained babies. As a five year old, Lydia DHF was the 2005 Region 1 Great American Insurance Group’s (GAIG’s) Champion at First Level and First Level Musical Freestyle, and also won Reserve Champion at Training Level. Lydia was also named the Colonel Bengt Ljungquist Memorial Championships (CBLM’s) First Level Musical Freestyle Champion in 2005. As a six year old, Lydia was named 2006 Region 1 GAIG Championship at 3rd level Musical Freestyle, and Lydia and Nachtwind each earned 4th place in their respective Musical Freestyle championships at the 2006 CBLM Championships. Jennifer is bringing along Lydia's little sister Lisalotte and competed her very successfully in Training level in 2007 earning many scores above 70% and several show high percentage awards.

While living in Maryland, Jennifer trained extensively with Linda Zang, FEI "O" Judge, and also trains with Sue Madden-Mandas, FEI "S" Judge. Ms. Truett has also trained with Hilda Gurney, FEI "I" Judge; Kirsi Nevalainen-LaCorte, USDF Certified Instructor through 4th Level; and Evelyn Susol, USDF "L" Graduate.

Jennifer's professional goals include developing her girls into FEI horses, making her first Grand Prix horse, riding down her first Grand Prix centerline, earning her USDF Silver and Gold medals and Freestyle Bars, becoming a USDF Certified Instructor and an L Graduate. Her goals for her students are to enjoy every moment with their horses, the good and the bad, because each moment offers a blessing, a life lesson and a memory.
